Cheers to a woman who wears many hats; Child of God, loving wife, wonderful mama, dear friend, precious "Gaboo", artist and athlete. I say athlete, because this past Saturday she completed the Seattle Rock n' Roll marathon in 5 hours, 41 minutes. Not just anyone can say they have accomplished such a feat. She is a walking machine, she kept focused during the race and accomplished her personal best. It was the perfect day, and I loved being there to cheer her on. I screamed so loud when we saw her (among the 25,000 others) that I sort of embarrassed myself but I didn't care that much because I just felt so proud of my special mama. You're an inspiration mom, I'm so glad we got to share your special day with you.
... I just have to put in a little side bar note to say thank you to the other family, who showed much endurance all weekend long as they cared for our boys. Thank you to Sam's mom, dad and sister for taking such good care of the boys. We know you too were running your own sort of "mini" marathons all weekend long. How blessed we are to have a weekend away and know that the boys are so well cared for and loved.
